Stelling Golden Cross Store #6013 - Posted 11/19/04: (Excellent Condition...some metal parts are worn...resonator looks like new...Signed by "Dave Evans" on the banjo head...Includes "Lost Forest" Tony Pass Rim) The Golden Cross was the ninth Stelling banjo to be built, the first one to have the trademarked Stelling peghead shape, and was named for Tony Golden, who rode motorcycles with Geoff and bought the first Golden Cross. This model was also honored to be the banjo played by the late great Don Reno for the last ten years of his life, and was featured on many of his fine recordings with Bill Harrell. Originally made of walnut, the current Golden Cross features fancy curly maple with the golden sunburst stain and purfling inlaid along the neck and resonator binding. A popular option is the engraved truss rod cover which features this banjo owner's name.

Stelling Staghorn: (Excellent Condition-Mint Condition) In 1975, Alan Munde introduced the Stelling banjo to an international audience by playing the second Staghorn ever made with the Country Gazette. Since then, the Staghorn has remained one of the most desired banjos in the world and has become the trademark model of Stelling Banjo Works. The increasing rarity of the materials such as the highly figured Claro walnut used in the neck and resonator, and the colorful abalone shell out of which the inlays and trim are cut make this model one of the ultimate sound investments. A Special Note About Our Used Instrument Listings

We've had a multitude of requests for a page listing our current used instrument inventory. This is by no means a complete listing, but does offer an overview from week to week of what we have in stock. If you see it below, you should be able to call and place the order for one and the same without a wait for factory scheduled orders (Please keep in mind, used instruments can be sold from minute to minute, while our page updates can be from week to week, so, please understand if the instrument had previously sold).

And remember, Folk of the Wood guarantees every used instrument with a Lifetime Warranty.
(Click here for our Lifetime Warranty Policy Description)...be sure to also check out our PRP Plan that will protect your investment even through negligence.

NOTE: Please understand that some used instruments may already be sold even though they show as available on this page. Additionally, sometimes an instrument is sold and is not shown as sold even though the page shows as updated...we have two separate warehousing systems and it's next to impossible to keep up with what comes in and goes out. Therefore, to ensure availability of any of the instruments listed here, please call our toll free number.

We stock many of these used instruments as new...not listed here. Call for availability and current stocking on any instrument you may have an interest in.

Please Note: Since we carry many of these instruments as new, we will sometimes list these same images we've taken of these used instruments in our new section. This assists others in viewing all angles of a particular model new or used. Therefore, if you see the same exact image in a new section, it is still one and the same instrument being advertised in the used section.
