Johnson Guitar Questions

Subject: Re: Fwd: Hey Mick

How's it going over there? Man do you have any time at all to do anything > you sure have put and are putting a whole lot of time in to this nice site! Then your store & "other things", wow, NICE

Anyway, what else might you have in the current line of acous-elecs now? Saw the Ovation here, will also check out ebay.
Still have the old Epiph & got bridge repaired but afraid there is still a bit of an intonation problem; will get it fixed when my "ship comes in" but looking for decent acous-elec in the mean time.

CU later B. C. (still in the Gila)

Hi Bill!
We just received a shallow bowl Ovation Acoust/Elec...I'll have the images up sometime this weekend.Stay tuned at our used instrument section.

The Johnson is a great value and many local players are now using the shallow cutaway with GE built in...so far, everyone's been thrilled with these. The Jnsns are great utility guitars. You'll really need to come down to try anything out to ensure it does fit your needs. Breedlove is currently making one of my favorite guitars...

Anyway, I want to say that it's great to hear from you! I'm at your disposal in any way I can be...We'll be happy to check out your Epi to ensure the intonation is reparable. When do you think you'll be back in our neck of the woods?

Mickey

Cool Site...
I've been playing electric bass for many, many years.
Looking to purchase my first six-string.
Most have recommended the dreadnaught style.
What are some reasonably-priced acoustic guitars that include
magnetic pickup and would work well for a novice who has large
hands, thin fingers, and has only played bass to this point.
Thanks
Augie

Greetings Augie,

If you're looking for a reasonably priced, acoustic/electric, the best value I've found is the Johnson...there are many models to choose from...for instance, if you're used to a long-scale bass neck, you'll most likely want a cutaway body style...additionally, if you're used to a thinner body, such as offered by most solid body electrics, you'll find the thinbody Johnson more to your liking. Hi. I was thinking about purchasing a guitar. I have never played before,
so, needless to say I am a beginner. I was just wondering if you could
give me your opinion so that I can contemplate further. Which do you
think would be a better guitar. The Johnson 620 CE or the Johnson 650
T. They are both comparable in price and besides the thinbody I am not
sure if there was really a difference. Your opinion would be really
appreciated. Thanks so much.

Hello Michelle,

I really like the thinbody Johnson...the body is easier to reach around...my wife plays a Johnson thinbody guitar for this reason...far more comfortable to play. the electric option is also nice...adds versatility...
