A touch of Genealogy ...

I hope to someday find the time to build my genealogy tree...for now, here's a little on my familial background:

My mom is from Trier, Germany...this is the heart of the Rhine River countryside and is now considered a major archaeological area where many Roman ruins have been excavated...my dad was born and raised in Cherokee, Alabama near Florence & Muscle Schoals, Alabama. My maternal grandparents were of Germanic origin; my paternal grandparents were of Scottish/Irish heritage.

I was very fortunate to travel all my life...for my dad served in the Army and was stationed all over the world. Every year was a new home and a new school. This gave me a window to the world that very few have the privilege of experiencing. I'm very grateful for all that I experienced in life and the many who have believed in my artistic endeavors...from my parents who supported my playing efforts and persevered the hours and hours of noise bellowing from my banjo, mandolin and guitar...and to my past employers such as Cattleman's Steakhouse who supported my musical endeavors as I worked my way through college...and to Bounty Hunter Metal Detectors for forcing me to actualize my best as a graphic designer. I've been very fortunate for I've always had the advantage of pursuing work of which befits my passion...and, of course, I hope to continue pursuing what I enjoy most: art and music. With all sincerity, Mickey Cochran

Cochran/e
The name Cochran/e in Ireland is often of immigrant origin having been brought to Ulster by settlers from Scotland, especially during the seventeenth century. The native Gaelic O'Corcrain and Mac Corcrain Septs of Counties Fermanagh and Offaly sometimes adopted Cochrane as the anglicized form of their name, instead of the more usual Corcoran.
