Contest Solution 1 Who Am I? Answer: "Jethro Burns" Following are the original clues for this contest: Clue #1: I performed in a duet where we did song parodies...similar to what Weird Al Yankovich does today... Clue #2: When I was just a kid, I played in speakeasies throughout Knoxville. Clue #3: Even though I donned hayseed garb, and, yes, performed some Yankovich-style parodies by chopping up popular songs, I was known as an accomplished jazz musician. Clue #4: I eventually joined up with Ken and wrote for Mel. Clue #5: I was known for playing songs such as: "Mama, Get the Hammer (There's a Fly on Papa's Head)." Clue #6: I served as an infantryman in the Pacific during World War II which was the only non-musical work I ever performed. Clue #7: I went on in later in my career to focus on writing some instructional material. Clue #8: I played with the “Million Dollar Band” on Hee-Haw during the ‘80s...headed up by Chet Atkins and Roy Clark.
