Fingerpicking Patterns "4 Studies"

The following 4 studies establish a foundation for the 3 Ragtime Chordal Studies ahead. If you'll notice, these patterns are written out in open positions only...no fretting is required. This will assist your focus on the pattern itself instead of having to coordinate any fretting hand efforts.

Be sure to learn these patterns thoroughly before moving on. You'll want to memorize them along with their corresponding study number. Once you're completely comfortable with these patterns, and can play them without looking at your picking hand, you will then be well-prepared for the many Ragtime Chordal Studies ahead.

Picking Hand: T = Thumb • I = Index Finger • M = Middle Finger
