Dobro: Quarterman Cones...Sending in Your Dobro
to Folk of the Wood for a Quarterman Upgrade

Subject: Quarterman Cone Upgrade Through Folk of the Wood
Date: Sun, 29 Aug 2004 15:24:29 -0400

Folks,
I am very much interested in the Quarterman cone and other upgrades (spider, brings, nut) for a Regal RD-45 squareneck. I unfortunately did not purchase the instrument from you - only because I hadn't heard of you at the time I bought it. I wish that I had. Do you ever do these upgrades on instruments that you did not sell?

I think your website is great and extremely informative. I can tell you that I will purchase future instruments and accessories from you.

Thanks for your help
Scott Rousseau

Shipping/Packing Process:
1. Be sure to pack it as well as possible...include newspaper within the case and without. Wrap newspaper around the neck and peghead itself to ensure a tighter fit.

2. Additionally, use a double corrugated box if you can find one...and don't forget to insure it for its full value.

3. Include all correspondence on the upgrades you'd like performed along with full contact info with phone number.

4. If your instrument does not have a case, be sure to tape correspondence on the strings of the instrument. Additionally, if your instrument does not have a case, be sure to double box it for added security.

5. Please insure your instrument for its full value, with the carrier you ship with (we recommend United States Postal, before sending it out; Folk of the Wood does not take any responsibility if your instrument arrives damaged or is lost in transit. Therefore, it's your responsibility to pack it well and insure it for its full value...it's also your responsibility to file the claim if anything does happen in transit...you, of course, will receive the claim funds from your carrier...the carrier is obligated to pick up the damaged in shipping goods. This is a rare case...notwithstanding, you want to cover all bases.

6. Make sure the box itself has the correct shipping to and from address on the outside (see below for shipping address)...use a black felt marker if you're not using a preprinted address label...

Thanks for paying careful attention to the above procedures...if followed, this will ensure that you have a quicker turnaround with us and will also ensure that your investment is well protected...

The staff of Folk of the Wood is completely at your disposal if you have any questions regarding the above...
