relative to Photography and Music

Subject: Michael Kelly Elegante Mandolin inquiry

Howdy,

Hi Garth,

Nice to hear from a Roswell native! I personally love Roswell's history and have been pursuing these studies for years. It's also a great place to metal detect...lots of mercury dimes and wheat pennies...

I'd like to get a price on this model with case and
shipping to zip code 07040. Would you also take
trade-in with cash on a Michael Kelly legacy model
purchased at Elderly Music back in early-November?

Yes, we'll take your MK Legacy on trade. Is it the Legacy Solid for the FS?

Legacy Elegent F-Style (Radiused Fingerboard)

I really enjoy your site; I'm a former Roswell native
who's been in NYC and NJ for the past ten years. I
always go to your site to look at El Capitan and
Sierra Blanca when I get homesick. Please don't ever
take those photos down!

In fact, I have many more photo essays I was going to put up...

Have you seen our Alto, NM site yet? It's located at http://www.altonewmexico.us

We also own: www.ruidosonewmexico.com...of which we haven't decided when to finish...however, when it's finished, it will have tons of historical content along with many photos.

So, please stay tuned...and, hopefully, you get back home for a visit. We'd love to meet with you...

Mickey

Thanks for your help,
Garth M.

Wow, I haven't been to Alto in a long time. I'll check
out the site at www.altonewmexico.us. My mom still lives in Roswell, so I'm
bringing my kids for a visit in May. I'll be sure to
hop over for a visit. I love Roswell and it's history,
miss it a lot. I like to read Paul Horgan and Will
Kelleher books on NM history. My mom had dinner with
Joe Bauman last year (hit 72 homers in 1954). Great
stuff.

Subject: New Mexico Music Scene

I know this may be a different question than you usually get but I recently bought a banjo from you guys and you came to mind. I'm thinking about relocating to New Mexico from Austin and was wondering what the music scene is like. I do a single act, banjo and guitar, kinda folky, kinda old-time early bluegrass. Are the places to play? The whole circle (Taos/Santa Fe/Albequeqe/Ruidoso). Thinking about living in Taos or Santa Fe as I am also a photographer.
Thanks for any insight, opinions, or off the wall info you could give me.
Terry Allan Smith
Austin, Tx.

Greetings Terry,

Sure, there are plenty of venues to play in throughout New Mexico...not too sure about Ruidoso; yes, there are many places to play here, only, I've heard the scale is pretty low...

No doubt, Santa Fe offers tremendous photo opps...And, so does Ruidoso...check out our photo essays on www.altonewmexico.us
