Following are the original clues for this contest: Clue #1: I originally took flight with "The Airplane". Clue #3: One of my first all-acoustic albums was live at Berkeley...in 1970. Clue #4: Rev. Gary Davis was a major influence on my playing. Clue #5: I played alongside Papa John Creach for a combination acoustic/electric session. Clue #6: I worked with the legendary Tom Hobson on a album project that today is considered an acoustic guitar duet classic. Clue #7: I've recently become an endorsee for Epiphone Guitars with my very own signature model. Clue #8: I now have a "blue mountain heart". A Fur Peach Ranch tribute at: http://users.mcleodusa.net/r/raines/furpeacetravelogue.htm Visit Jorma's Official Site at: http://www.hottuna.com/
Jorma played with the Jefferson Airplane early in his career...he even did an appearance at the '69 Woodstock Festival with the Airplane...
Clue #2: My off-shoot band began making appearances along the flight.
Hot Tune, the off-shoot band, made many appearances during Jefferson Airplane's many tours...
This is the ultimate acoustic blues album...I remember listening to this album for many years and being intrigued by the acoustic steel string arrangements accomplished by Jorma...along with the interplay of Jack Casady's melodic bass and Will Scarlet's tasteful blues harp.
Jorma performed many of the Reverend's pieces throughout many of his lifelong recordings...
Papa John Creach played some lively blues fiddle on top Jorma's ragtime blues guitar...one of my all-time favorite albums is "Burgers" which has some amazing interplay within a boogie blues acoustic setting...this has to be the ultimate example of blues fiddle and its impactful
I don't know if I've ever heard an album that even compares to "Quah"...this album will carry you on an unforgettable acoustic journey...this has got to be the most addictive album I've ever heard; it's an album I've probably listened to over 10,000 times and am still enthralled every time I hear it to this day.
Epiphone has released a Jorma signature semi-hollow body electric...I have one myself.
This is Jorma's latest recording effort which is an example, or better yet, an historical tribute to white man blues. Many legendary players have joined in this effort including Sam Bush and Jerry Douglas.
