Advanced Level Chordal Melody Study "Londonderry Air" (Key of D)

Play each chord with a downstroke of your pick. Be careful to pay close attention to the timing. When two notes are tied together, play the second note with an upstroke.Notes: The timing should be followed by counting out the beats in units of 4: 1 2 3 4...these beats are located under the tablature...The "D" symbols all represent downward picking motions...strum the entire chord with one downstroke of your flatpick. Take your time and learn this piece one measure at a time. After becoming comfortable with each measure individually, move on to the next measure. Then combine the measures and the melody will become recognizable as the original Irish piece: "Danny Boy".
