Notes: This crosspicking arrangement is played entirely in the Key of C...notice the mandolin chord diagrams above the standard notation..be sure to make sure you're completely comfortable with the chord progression before attempting the piece itself...and be sure to follow the "D" and "U" pick strokes above the tablature.

Hammer-Ons: In Measure 12, you'll notice the symbol "H"...this means that the note is not picked but hammered on...creating what is called a "slur note"...the second note, right after the "H", is not picked...but hammered by the index finger...you pick the D String open, then bring your index finger down directly on the same string which creates a note by itself without having to pick it. This is a common technique used on most acoustic instruments and is addressed as "Hammering On".
