Your First Melody

If you've gotten to this point, and feel extremely comfortable with the previous exercises, you're now prepared to play your first melody. Remember, all numerals represent downstrokes and all "&s" represent upstrokes.

Dixie

This is a melody that most everyone will recognize...for your very first melody, it's best to know where it's supposed to go...so we're going to start with a recognizable melody.

Which finger to use follows:
First Fret: Index Finger
Second Fret: Middle Finger
Third Fret: Ring Finger
Fourth Fret: Little Finger
