Your First Scale Studies (Key of Bb)

Following are studies in the Key of Bb...these can be fairly advanced...so take your time in your efforts to learn these patterns. With these scale studies, you will be developing both your left and right hand dexterity. You will become far more proficient at learning new material or taking on any musical setting challenge.

Notes: On octave mandolin, be careful to use a comfortable fingering...

1st Fret = First Finger
3rd Fret = Second Finger
5th Fret = Fourth Finger
6th Fret = Slide Up Fourth Finger
For upper reaches of this scale, slide fourth finger up...and as notes fall below the fourth, play with what fingers feel most comfortable.
