It showed today at noon, Friday. And, it looks MAHvelous!! The spruce top is sharp, and I know the Hohner had a mahogany back, but the Kentucky KM-200S really shows the grain well. I think it looks great, and it was in tune too. I strummed on it, and tried the frets, and it seems a lot easier to fret the strings on this one. And, what a nice "bright" sound, with volume. I am well satisfied with this deal I got, and appreciate the help and patience. Now I may need to try some of the instruction videos and /or books. I have a couple of old ones. I don't know if I can ever play like Chris Thile, of Nickel Creek, on "Ode to a Butterfly", (one tune I really like), but I hope to get on this soon enough and often enough to learn a number of songs. Wes Jenson Date: Fri, 23 Feb 2001 Hi Bryan, Just thought I would drop you a quick note to say that I am very happy about the Kentucky 250S. I am spending some time with it and it is great. Playing the fiddle and guitar makes it somewhat easier, but what a great contribution to the band it can make. The action is good and I am impressed. Friends here in Australia keep asking why I ordered a mandolin all the way from the USA - well they know why now. Anyway, I have just sent an order through your web site for some instructional material. It is still cheaper to purchase from you folk in the USA then purchasing here where I live (even with the exchange rate). So, thanks again, you have one happy customer. Feel free to share this recommendation with anyone. Cheers, Rick Ferret Date: Sat, 20 Jan 2001 Howdy, I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you for the quick response that you folks did once I ordered my KM-250S mandolin. It got hear really fast and all in one piece. It was set up very nicely and easy to play. This is my first mandolin and I believe this was a great choice for me. It has great tone and to my surprise it is a lot louder than I thought it would be as I was wondering about amplification before I received it but now I really don't think I'll need to. The quality of the instrument for the price I paid was more than I had hoped for. Again thanks for your great service. John Turner Date: Sat, 1 Jul 2000 Recently purchased a KM-250s from you and can hardly put it down. Your 100% upgrade is an enticement that is nearly impossible to ignore. Fare well. db Date: Tue, 03 Aug 1999 Dear Mickey, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I love my Kentucky KM-200S mandolin, and my instructor said he thought it was a nice deal and a very beautiful instrument with "nice action". The freebies sound terrific and I look forward to working with the book. Very glad I found you on Ebay! Sincerely, Lori Date: Fri, 12 Nov 1999 Dear Mickey, I received my Kentucky KM-250S mandolin today. It is beautiful, and plays very easily. As I was tuning up though, the top E string broke, so I was thankful I had an extra set to steal one from. I am anxious to learn more and more about mandolin playing, and realize that the best way to do that is to play lots, so that's what I'm doing. Thanks for your help in setting it up, and all the advice and information you gave me. I needed it to make the right decision. Thanks again. brose Date: Sun, 06 Feb 2000 Sir, As usual I am astounded and gratified by your quick response. I appreciate your offer of a strap button, but I have many strewn about the house left over from installations of Strap-Locs on my guitars. Back of the heel cap it is then. By the way, got her out of the case last night and I am most satisfied. I have a hollowbody that is maple and there is just something really clear and snappy about that tone which speaks to me. I hope the Year of the Dragon will be good to you. Fare well, Daver
