Subject: The Mandolin That KICKS!!
Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2002 11:44:48 -0600

Dear Micky and all at Folk Of The Wood,
I want to say a heart-felt thanks to you and your staff. They were very helpful and courteous. I want to testify to the performance of the Kentucky KM 630. As stated on your website, this mandolin really cuts through and it can chop & bark! I am so pleased with it's sound & quality for the price. I have already incorporated it into my recordings and if there is any doubt for anyone, the proof is in the 'pudding'. Here again is my orginal of "Darlin's Brown Eyes" with the Kentucky KM 630. Now, I'm no mandolin player yet, I'm just learning, but boy what great fun!!!
Thanks again, Ryan
Guilbeau.

Hi Mickey,
I just wanted you to know that I received my Kentucky KM-630 mandolin yesterday 'all safe and sound'. And speaking of sound - this F-style KM-630 really does 'cut through' in its beautiful tones. Its acoustical sound is awesome! I had learned to play the mandolin over the years but had never owned one. But after reading your numerous, insightful emails from others about which type of entry level mandolin to purchase, I decided, based upon my playing experience, that I wanted the KM-630 - for starters. I really love the sound and action of this mandolin. Thanks again for the buying guidance and the extraordinary sounding KM-630. I'll be sure and tell my musical friends about your website! A really good website must be shared with your buddies! John

Subject: I LOVE MY MANDOLIN!
Date: Mon, 6 Aug 2001 16:54:29 -0400

Hi Mickey....just a note to tell you and the others at Folk of the Wood how much I love this mandolin (Kentucky 630). I actually began learning last Monday. And, although my fingertips are sore as hell, I just can't put the thing down. I've got 4 songs down (albeit slow) and am even doing some up/down pickin'. Chords, on the other hand, are a different story! I managed my first "real" G chord this morning (and I've been practicing that darn chord at least 10 minutes a day). Can't wait to get some "live" instruction, but for now I'm armed with a Bert Casey book and 3 videos (Norman Blake, Chris Thile and Bert Casey). I feel Mandolin Acquisition Syndrome coming on!

Hi , I just received my new KM 630 Mandolin today and I'm so pleased with the service you gave me. The Mandolin play's so easy and has such a great sound, I can hardly put it down. I've only been playing for a year and I was getting a little frustrated with the one I had. Thanks so much for my Father's Day present my Wife just gave me! Sincerely Bruce Clark

Date: Tue, 23 Jan 2001 Hey, y'all, just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with the KM630 I ordered. I work out of my home and it's been hard to get anything done since it arrived. I just can't keep my hands off it. The sound is excellent and the action is superb. Everything you told me to expect and more. I thought I'd have to spend a bunch more for a decent F-style, but fortunately that wasn't the case. I also want to commend you on your service and working with me the way you did to help me make a decision. I'm definitely recommending y'all to my friends. Ya got one very pleased customer here. Sincerely, Michael Healer

Date: Mon, 14 Aug 2000 The KM-630 got here on Saturday in good shape. Thanks for the prompt service. I had it out to a jam Saturday night and I love it already. It is going to bring me many hours of joy, though I sometimes wonder about those within earshot. Thanks again. Fred

Date: Mon, 18 Sep 2000 Subject: KM-630 Mickey, I just recieved my Mandolin and wow what a difference! It has that sweet bluegrass sound I was looking for and it plays much nicer than the Applause I had. Thanks for everything, you guys are great to deal with, I would recomend you to anyone and I will. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind, do you carry an EQ. that clips on a belt for my mandolin? And have you ever seen a Mandolin hanger that clamps on your mic stand? If you have these items please let me know the details. Once again I am very happy with my instrument. Thanks, Mike

Date: Wed, 31 May 2000 Mickey, I received the KM-630 today and it was everything that I had hoped for. Thanks so much for all your help and for getting it to me so quickly. I would definitely recommend Folk of the Wood to anyone. Sincerely, Bill Clayton

Date: Mon, 13 Dec 1999 Hi Mickey, Just received my KM 630 mandolin a couple days ago. What a beauty!! Great tone and looks much better than I expected. I haven't even picked up my guitar since the mandolin arrived. Looks like it's going to be "playing second fiddle" for a long while. Your Crosspicking Mandolin book is laid out very well and I've made some good progress using it in just the few days I've had it. Thanks again for your good personal service and the great prices that you have at Folk of the Wood. I've already referred you to some of my friends. I'll update you on my progress. Matt Mendrala

Date: Sun, 12 Dec 1999 Mickey, I purchased a Kentucky KM 630 from you a few months ago off of ebay. I just wanted to tell you how cool it is. Also, do you sell mandolin leather shoulder straps? Please let me know. Thanks, Brendon
