I want to say a heart-felt thanks to you and your staff. They were very helpful and courteous. I want to testify to the performance of the Kentucky KM 630. As stated on your website, this mandolin really cuts through and it can chop & bark! I am so pleased with it's sound & quality for the price. I have already incorporated it into my recordings and if there is any doubt for anyone, the proof is in the 'pudding'. Here again is my orginal of "Darlin's Brown Eyes" with the Kentucky KM 630. Now, I'm no mandolin player yet, I'm just learning, but boy what great fun!!!

I just wanted you to know that I received my Kentucky KM-630 mandolin yesterday 'all safe and sound'. And speaking of sound - this F-style KM-630 really does 'cut through' in its beautiful tones. Its acoustical sound is awesome! I had learned to play the mandolin over the years but had never owned one. But after reading your numerous, insightful emails from others about which type of entry level mandolin to purchase, I decided, based upon my playing experience, that I wanted the KM-630 - for starters. I really love the sound and action of this mandolin. Thanks again for the buying guidance and the extraordinary sounding KM-630. I'll be sure and tell my musical friends about your website! Hi Mickey....just a note to tell you and the others at Folk of the Wood how much I love this mandolin (Kentucky 630). I actually began learning last Monday. And, although my fingertips are sore as hell, I just can't put the thing down. I've got 4 songs down (albeit slow) and am even doing some up/down pickin'. Chords, on the other hand, are a different story! I managed my first "real" G chord this morning (and I've been practicing that darn chord at least 10 minutes a day). Can't wait to get some "live" instruction, but for now I'm armed with a Bert Casey book and 3 videos (Norman Blake, Chris Thile and Bert Casey). I feel Mandolin Acquisition Syndrome coming on!

It has that sweet bluegrass sound I was looking for and it plays much nicer than the Applause I had. Thanks for everything, you guys are great to deal with, I would recomend you to anyone and I will. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind, do you carry an EQ. that clips on a belt for my mandolin? And have you ever seen a Mandolin hanger that clamps on your mic stand? Date: Mon, 13 Dec 1999 Hi Mickey, Just received my KM 630 mandolin a couple days ago. What a beauty!! Great tone and looks much better than I expected. I haven't even picked up my guitar since the mandolin arrived. Looks like it's going to be "playing second fiddle" for a long while. Your Crosspicking Mandolin book is laid out very well and I've made some good progress using it in just the few days I've had it.
