In recent years, luthiers have experimented extensively with alternatives to the tropical hardwoods that are commonly used by guitar makers around the world. The future of our industry depends upon our ability to conserve these resources now.

No tropical hardwoods are used in the construction of Durango Guitars. Mountain Spruce, the choice of most builders, is used for the top, while Northern Birch or Maple is used for backs, sides and necks. All woods are re-forestable. We invite you to try the result of our efforts and to listen to the voice of the future.
