Take your time with the following melody...take it one measure at a time.

Soldier's Joy is a Civil War melody. The following arrangement is the basic skeletal melody. Watch for future lessons where we will learn to arrange with further embellishments.

Notes: Use your thumb and index only when playing this piece.. When playing the eighth notes, the first note would be with the thumb..the second would be with the index finger. Quarter notes are all played with the thumb.
