Hi James,
I just wanted to let you know that I got the Orca on Friday. You were right!
Wow! What an awesome instrument! I can't seem to put it down. I've worn the
calluses right of my fingers!!
Thank you for your direction in helping me to decide which Breedlove would
best met my playing needs. The Master Class is the way to go, and the ORCA,
without a doubt, lives up to it's class. Normally, I would have shy'd away
from a black finish, because I love the look of natural wood grain. However,
I find the ORCA to have a truly beautiful finish and appointments. What's
more, is that it is uniquely understated, and looks like nothing else out
there. Understated, but no less inspiring that is. Seeing it in person
really makes a difference. Also, the smooth satin neck is so comfortable and
allows for frictionless playability. I never get hung up when sliding up and
down the neck like I do on my glossy necked instruments. Finally, the tone
and sustain on the ORCA are beyond description. Kim Breedlove really knows
what he is doing when it comes to personally voicing these instruments.
Thanks again for your expert opinion. I am very happy with my decision.
Thanks,
Joe
