Lucida Classical Guitar FAQs

Hello,

I am learning to play the guitar and am very interested in the Lucida Guitar. I
am having trouble deciding between the 530 and the 540. I plan on keeping the
instrument I purchase for years to come. Is there a major difference between the
two or are they about the same?........Lisa

Greetings Lisa,

I believe the 530 does have the edge..only they're both relatively the same level quality...both would work well as beginner level guitars...especially if they're set up properly. The 530 does have some major upgrades that makes it well worth the price difference...if you're looking for a more traditional classical guitar, the LG-540 would be even better with the cedar top...tone will not vary too much between all of these models since they're all made from laminate woods...

Hi folks,

First, let me apologize for the harsh attitude I presented when Dawn Riley
and I received the wrong instrument last week. I've only purchased a few
items over the net and I have had more bad experiences than good, including
having to threaten legal action and posting horror stories to newsgroups to
be reimbursed. I hope you can understand my aggravation and forgive me. You
people made right on the order and we received the proper violin in
beautiful condition 2 days after we contacted you. Thank you for your quick
action in correcting the problem!

Secondly, I was looking at the Lucida Spruce Top Model LG-520 on your web
site. I have been looking for an affordable classical guitar just to fool
around and have fun with for a LONG time. I've been playing for quite some
time and I certainly know electrics and steel string acoustics inside and
out and can spot a decent cheap guitar in a hurry but I'm lost in this new
realm of nylon with names I've never even heard of and some that I can't
even pronounce <grin>.

My question to you folks is: Do you think that the LG-520 would be a good
instrument for someone who is already an avid player? I'm no beginner and I
know its a cheap model but I just want a good sounding and playable
classical. I don't much care if it is pink with yellow spots.

Again, thank you for everything!
George

Hello George,

Nice to hear that everything worked out OK for you...remember, we also stand behind the instrument for as long as you own it; so, please let us know if you ever have any problems with your violin whatsoever.

The Lucida is the best value in a classical guitar I've seen to date. We even had a local, well-known classical guitar instructor estimate that one of our Lucidas in stock was a 1200.00 guitar; it turned out to shock him when we told him it was a 600.00 retail value. He was really impressed and now has all his students buy Lucidas from us...they are made in Spain, where a classical guitar of worth should be made, and have great playability without sacrifice to quality relation to price. I fully endorse these 100% without reserve. And, this endorsement covers the entire Lucida line-up! Mickey
