After testing the G String for proper intonation, and determining that the Open G String is the exact same note as the G String fretted at the 12th fret, try the same test on the outside E string as shown.
Tune up the E String and test it at the 12th fret. If the string is sharp or flat, follow the same procedure as you did on the G String.
